Day 68

Hello Parents!

I am sorry it has been  a couple weeks since I posted.  There have been many fun things happening at school over the past while.  We had a Halloween celebration.  Many students dressed up in costumes and we had a Halloween dance.  We carved a pumpkin in class together and had some treats and watched a spooky movie.  It was a great day together!

We spent a lot of time practicing for our Remembrance Day assembly. The students worked very hard on all aspects of our assembly.  I was so proud of them. We got many compliments from parents who attended on how much they enjoyed it.  Good for you Grade 5s!  

We had a inschool field trip from Scientists in Schools.  Students learned about forces on structures and how to make a stable structure.  They then had a competition as to who could build the strongest structure that could hold many textbooks without collapsing.  Ask you child what they learned during this activity!
